Description
The most provocative aspect of art is that we don’t have to agree on religion or politics; we can see the beauty in another’s ideas and explore those views without judgment.
Taproot Spiritual Drawings Series:
The “Taproot” spiritual art series is very dear to me. The prevailing theme of these meaningful spiritual drawings deals with emotions, experiences, and chasing dreams – all while being “rooted” in our faith.
Proverbs 16:9 states “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.”
In this series of figurative drawings, the juxtaposed imagery of the “tree of life” and the fragile human, clothed in shadows and flowing fabric, shows the beauty of life and creation when the “roots” are in place.
This series captures the raw emotions I’ve felt throughout my walk with God, and is a bit of a self portrait of feelings and beliefs. There’s a touch of surrealism to this series.
“Steadfast” Meaningful Spiritual Drawings:
Having the Lord establish our steps – that’s the fundamental idea behind this artwork. There is strength in walking your chosen path in life when the path has been laid out by God himself.
1 Corinthians 15:58 states “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be you steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
Woman spiritual art: the original female figure drawings are graphite and colored pencil. This drawing is available as an 8×10 print that will come sealed in a protective photo art bag, and fits into a standard sized mat. It’s also available as:
